Building a Scalable Membership Platform for CIAOMONDO

CIAOMONDO is a digital platform offering courses, practices, and both live and recorded meditations. I led the MVP redesign to rapidly relaunch the platform on a reliable and scalable foundation with Webflow + Memberstack 2.0. A custom CMS was built to give the team full autonomy in publishing and managing protected (gated) content. The goals were clear: stabilize the member area, streamline registration and payments, enhance overall performance, and establish solid foundations.
Project progress
1. Architecture & Integration (Webflow + Memberstack 2.0)
I designed custom sign-up and log-in flows with routes adapted to different subscription plans (monthly, annual, free trial). Dedicated acquisition landing pages were created to streamline conversion (offer → CTA → checkout). Access to gated content was set with granular conditions — protection at both the page and block level, conditional show/hide (via Memberstack attributes), and contextual redirects after login, registration, or logout. The integration between Webflow and Memberstack was deep and reliable: Memberstack forms, ms-hide/ms-show
attributes, role- and plan-based rules, logout routes, and status pages (errors, validation, password reset). All of this was built on a Client-First structured Webflow database, ensuring fast maintenance and easy duplication of future flows and landing pages.

2. Custom CMS & protected content
I built a tailored CMS to manage the entire activity of CIAOMONDO. This included a Live Classes collection, organized by day of the week and displayed in a dynamic calendar, a Meditations & Recorded Classes collection accessible on demand, and a Blog section for articles and resources. A scheduling system was also added, allowing the team to prepare and publish content in advance. Thanks to this setup, the team enjoys total editorial autonomy: publishing, scheduling, and protecting content without requiring technical support.

3. Payment & Billing Portal (Stripe)
I set up multiple subscription plans (monthly, annual, and free trial up to 7 days), each with clear access rights. Every plan follows a dedicated journey: registration → plan selection → Stripe checkout → access to gated content. Through the Stripe Customer Billing Portal, members can independently manage payment methods, download invoices, and cancel subscriptions. Trial expirations, errors, and test flows were anticipated to guarantee a reliable, frictionless experience.
4. Compliance & basic SEO
I implemented a cookie consent banner via FlowAppz and prepared the site for Consent Mode v2. On the SEO side, I set up structured metadata, clear Hn hierarchy, internal linking, a Sitemap and robots.txt, as well as essential Schema.org markup. These steps provided a solid foundation for both compliance and search visibility.
5. Site performance
The entire platform was optimized for speed and stability: a lightweight structure, WebP images, lazy-loading of resources, CSS/JS minification, and a full Lighthouse audit. The result: fast loading times and a smooth user experience across desktop and mobile, even on media-heavy pages.
6. Training & procurement
I delivered training sessions to the CIAOMONDO team covering Webflow’s back office, content publishing, SEO best practices, membership management, and KPI monitoring. A set of QA checklists was also provided to maintain quality and consistency over time.

- Stable member area, with reliable authentication and billing.
- Full editorial autonomy, allowing the team to publish both public and gated content by plan through the custom CMS.
